Artist Statement: I have been taking my inspiration from local scenes here in San Pedro. The area is both rich in culture and diversity. This side of Gaffey Street is a little on the dicey side so I added in graffiti where it had been removed. Classic cars are really popular in the area so I placed a lowrider in the foreground. The patterns on the building are from lingerie sprayed on with India Ink and then painted over with layers of transparent watercolor.
