Artist Statement: Christina is my daughter's fourth child. With bright eyes and a ready smile, this farm girl rarely has kept hair. I captured her with my camera one day and knew that I had to paint her. I wanted her free spirit and the joy and warmth of her personality to fill the composition and the page.
