Artist Statement: I was motivated to create a dynamic composition that also conveyed a feeling of rest or disentanglement from the chaos of the contemporary world. I love color and the way that warm and cool colors activate and neutralize each other when used in juxtaposition and overlay. I am intrigued by the use of pattern and value to complete the statement and achieve a resolution.
