Artist Statement: Didier Brot is a watercolorist, globetrotter carnettist who, brushes in hand, travels the planet with his trainees. He does not neglect the workshop work, a privileged place of permanent research so as not to sink into the routine.
A sentence by Picasso to define it: "Success is dangerous. You start to copy yourself and copying yourself is more dangerous than copying others ... it's sterile."
Didier Brot has devoted himself entirely to watercolor for over 12 years. He exhibits regularly in France and abroad (Holland, Italy, China, Australia, Canada, etc.) and has published 6 books including a didactic on watercolor on synthetic media at Ulysseéditions.
