Artist Statement: In my work I strive to be painterly and loose within a carefully planned framework. My aim is to let the beauty of watercolor speak for itself; to look fresh and lively.
I am often inspired to paint simple every day things. I feel that the most commonplace things in life are often the most beautiful and timeless. I paint in watercolor because, for me, no other medium captures light and atmosphere so well.
