Ingrid Albrecht - Metro Dawn

Watercolor painting by Ingrid Albrecht

Artist Statement: Exploring a big city very early in the morning can be magical. People are beginning to stir and the sun is reflecting off the buildings, creating a gleaming light that masks the normal grit of the city and elevates it to a magical status. This was my inspiration for this painting.

Ingrid E. Albrecht is a graduate from the American Academy of Art. She has taught watercolor and water media classes at the Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Art, Northwestern University, and out of her own studio in Chicago.
