The human figure has always been one of my primary inspirations. A friend brought in a few kimonos for a model to wear in one of our figure painting sessions. I was instantly struck by the beautiful union between two exotic art forms: kimono and human. I am imagining that same sort of excitement that was experienced by Monet and William Chase when they put kimonos on their models.
