Artist Statement:
Geoff Allen’s art career in a few sentences. First he desired to make history, then he wanted to make money, but now he’d be happy just to express his inner curiosity and energy. Allen believes it's important not to compare yourself to others and to dig into the projects that get you out of bed in the morning. If you're going to compare yourself, he believes, an art history book is a good place to start, "set the bar high". Practice being yourself everyday and the painting will take care of itself.
