Artist Statement: When creating Jamboree on the Beach I began by what comes naturally - putting complementary colors together like blue with yellow and red/pink with green. Because I have been painting all my life, the foundations of color theory are like the genes in my body â the beginnings of the work come naturally and allowed me to expand the work in the pursuit of creativity and discovery.
