Lynn McLain - Road Chatter 71
Watercolor painting by Lynn McLain from Vadito, NM.
Artist Statement: The intent in my work is to express more than just a subject. The painting needs to possess a "look at me" quality. However, within that, the spirit, emotion, and design must involve the viewer in a relationship which
excites and engages that individual in a visual conversation with the painting.
The realization of the talent given me and the responsibility I feel to use that gift is my motivation to paint. My style is based on realism, but in most cases relies on an abstraction of composition, design, or view, along with
texture and color to achieve the final result.
