My paintings reflect an emotional response to a memory, a life experience and nature's everyday events. I enjoy pushing boundaries and exploring a variety of mediums and tools allowing me to create interesting textures, diverse shapes and spontaneous calligraphic lines resulting in unique and compelling images inviting personal interpretation and closer examination. By daring to challenge the basic principles and elements of art, I am able to elicit divergent and visually thought provoking images. It is very much an intuitive and instinctual process.
