"Can I capture a single fleeting moment of light, and suspend it, timeless inside a picture frame?
Strong light, rich color and plastic form are what move me to paint. I feel the need to create dimension - to model 3D objects on a 2D surface. This is due to my first love â drawing. Though now I am able to model in color what I once could only capture in shades of grey.
Though my subject matter may be static, I sense movement in it. I feel tangential energy where an arc bisects a sphere, where two crescents intersect, or a circle kisses the edge of the paper."
